MOVIES BEST HD once again broadcasts the OSCARS® awards ceremony live and exclusively
Once again, Movies Best HD, broadcast the OSCARS® awards ceremony live and exclusively. The 96th Annual Academy Awards ceremony was held on Sunday 10 March at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
As expected, the film OPPENHEIMER was the big winner taking home 7 statuettes, including Best Picture, Best Director (Christopher Nolan), Best Actor (Cillian Murphy) and Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr).
Yiorgos Lanthimos’s film, POOR THINGS, won 4 Oscars, the most important being the one won by Emma Stone (Best Actress), with her stating that she was shocked by the honour.
No surprise for the Best Supporting Actress award which went to the amazing Da’Vine Joy Randolph (THE HOLDOVERS) who moved the audience with her speech.
Accepting the Oscar, Best Actor winner, Cillian Murphy, said he was overwhelmed, and he dedicated the award to all the peacemakers in the world, while director Christopher Nolan, who has been nominated 8 times in the past, thanked those who believed in him.
Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell made history after becoming the youngest two-time Oscar winners for their song ‘What Was I Made From’ (BARBIE). The highlight of the night, however, was when Ryan Gosling performed ‘I’m Just Ken’, the other nominated song from the movie BARBIE, winning the hearts of those in the room and having everyone singing along while giving the actor a standing ovation.
The ceremony was once more presented by the one and only Jimmy Kimmel.
Another unforgettable movie night went down in history and we look forward to the next one!
